Rigamortis has barely set in but there are already plans in the works to make James Brown’s life into a new biopic.
Variety is reporting that Spike Lee is set to bring the Hardest Working Man in Showbusiness to the big screen backed by Paramount studios and developed by Brian Grazer.
Brown had apparently worked on the early stages of the project before his death and has granted film-makers full acess to his music.
Grazer told Variety: "Like everyone I was surprised and saddened that James Brown died."
"[But] having known him well, and after spending lots of time with him, and researching his life, it's somehow not surprising that he died on Christmas Day. He was the ultimate showman, right to the end."
