Ex-Suede singer Brett Anderson’s solo debut LP will be released next March and will “show the world my insides”.
After struggling to find a label to release the as-yet-untitled 11 track album, Anderson has signed a short-term deal with Drowned In Sound, and will release the LP on 26 March.
He explains that the record will finally feature his first personal offerings, “In the past I've hidden behind characterisation and vignettes but I've not done that here. Essentially I have taken a knife to myself and am showing the world my insides.
“The songs are a comment on how I really feel, whether it be the death of my dad, my hatred of consumerism or just the loneliness of life. It's a very important record for me to have made. No guests, no gimmicks, just me and the music.”
