




Bono is a foul odious little man. A man who campaigns to end poverty yet spends thousands going through the courts to get a Stetson hat back from his stylist, Chris Morris would be proud to write something that funny. However, the thing that really wrankles about Bono is as much as you want to hate U2 they write fantastically epic songs. Sure they have the best producers, studios and production known to man, but feeling and heart can’t be crafted in a studio it comes from inside and Bono and U2 tap into theirs and the genius pours out. ‘Windows In The Sky’ is another ballad that, in the spirit of 2006, we can only describe as ‘Empire’. In a similar vein to ‘Sometimes You Can’t Make It On Your Own’ or ‘One’ this track is a slow paced tear jerker with The Edge’s trademark guitar work all over it. It could soundtrack a thousand teen dramas or a million romantic love scenes. It pains us to say it but maybe Bono isn’t all bad. As for Bob Geldof…
