In an unlikely partnership, The Cure have teamed up with Korn on the rock outfit’s MTV Unplugged session.
The show was recorded on Saturday in Times Square, New York and sees Korn play a sprawling set of all their classic tracks.
Towards the end of the set, Robert Smith and the rest of The Cure come on stage for an acoustic mash-up of Korn’s ‘Make Me Bad’ and The Cure’s ‘In Between Days.’
Korn frontman Jonathan Davies beamed to the crowd: “You never thought you’d see that shit did you?
“This is the band that got me through high school. They were the soundtrack of my life then. So to be onstage with these legends, I just thought it would never happen in my wildest dreams.”
The headline band also revealed that drummer David Silveria would be taking an indefinite break from the band.
Elsewhere on the night, Evanescence frontwoman Amy Lee also joined Korn for a duet.
Korn MTV Unplugged will be released in mid February.
