    Take That Make Chart History

In an unprecedented achievement, Take That topped all five of the charts that they could figure in yesterday.

Their single ‘Patience’ held on for a third week, while their album ‘Beautiful Day’ stayed put for a second.

On top of this, they also topped the album downloads, singles downloads and music DVD charts.

Gennaro Castaldo from HMV said: “To top all five official charts in the same week is unprecedented in chart history.”

Ina pretty stagnant week in the singles chart, the only new entries of note were Morrissey’s ‘I Just Want To See A Happy Boy’ at 16 and Scissor Sisters’ ‘Land of a Thousand Words’ down at 19.

Slade and The Pogues re-entered the top 30 with their seminal festive hits ‘Merry Xmas Everybody’ and ‘Fairytale of New York.’

Over in the album chart, Oasis’s ‘Stop The Clocks’ remained at two, while The Beatles and U2 both remained inside the top 6.
