The Fratellis think they’ve been helped by God after achieving massive success this year with their debut album.
The Scottish rockers have enjoyed a meteoric rise to the top after only playing their first ever gig last year, and have even survived Mince breaking his back, with the drummer making a miraculous recovery.
Singer Jon tells The Scotsman, “We thought that might be the end of it, but Mince is a medical marvel. Within a month he was starting to play again. He had to use a back brace on for a while but he did it.
“It sounds cocky but we do feel like the luckiest band around. When things like that happen and you pull through then you know you are lucky and that things happen for a good reason. God likes us, man. God likes his happy clappy rock'n'roll!"
But will they become 'bigger than than Jesus'?
