They might still be relative newcomers but Coventry band The Enemy aren’t content with taking the quiet back door into the music industry.
Speaking exclusively to Gigwise during their current tour supporting The Futureheads, lead singer Tom Clarke slammed artists who try to send a political message through their Music.
He said: “I hate it when people try and get political in music. Especially when you’ve got little posh ****s like Chris Martin with ‘Make Trade Fair’ written on their hand.
“I think that’s absolutely ****ing ridiculous, because it’s never affected him for one minute.”
The Enemy have fast been gaining a reputation for their liberal outbursts and Tom stressed that, “We’re not trying to be political; it’s about society – that’s what we are, that’s what everyone is.”
The Enemy’s remaining tour dates are as follows:
Portsmouth Pyramids – December 3
Cambridge Junction - 4
London Astoria - 5

What a ****ing retard! Can you tell him that from me please, Gigwise? Thanks.
I saw them supporting The Futureheads and as soon as he swaggered on the the stage as if he was in Oasis and starting mouthing off, I just thought want a w*nker. Shame really, because if he didnt come across as such a prat then they could do well, the tunes were alright. Perhaps he might grow up a bit when he hits puberty?
Have you seen their fanzine? In it Tom tit advises everybody to tell their boss to ’**** off and do something you wanna do’ yet then goes onto say how unfair Peugeot bosses were to get rid of workers. Surely if they had taken his advice and told their bosses to **** off they would be out of a job anyway?
That one in the middle looks like Mark E Smith
