Black Wire

WHO THE **** ARE BLACK WIRE? Black Wire formed in January 2003 and played their first gig within a month. Just a few months after almalgamating, they were invited on a number of prestigious support slots - including Ladytron, The Rapture, Chikinki, Pink Grease, The futureheads, The Cribs and The Libertines. Their debut single ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK earned them NME single of the week in April 2004 (and had to be re-pressed a month later due to ferocious demand), their second single "Hard to love easy to lay" went top 75 in it's week of release(September). With a host of gigs, an XFM live session and three independent singles under their belts the boys are currently recording their debut album due for release early 2005. you have been warned.

Black Wire are a twitchy threesome burning with visceral energy. They are Dan Wilson(vocals), Si McCabe (guitars and backing vocals) and Tom Greatorex (bass).

Embracing a fusion of Glam-electronic-punk-rock together with leary venom, the band soon started turning heads.
