Being the street-savvy Gigwise reader you are, you'll know the drill with Jet by now - Aussie brothers trying their damnedest to out-Oasis Oasis - and predictably Bring It On Back deviates from their tried and tested formula about as much as the latest Gallagher Bros interview with the inkies does from the usual barrage of self-aggrandisement and general bafflement with anyone who doesn't like Slade. However, were we to draw a graph of the relative merits of each, you'll find that at some point in the last six months a tipping point has been passed, making Jet infinitely more relevant and the Mancunians itching to write a comeback single half as good as 'Be My Girl'. 'Bring It On Back' continues that confusing trend by being the very kind of steady Beatles plodder Noel would give his left bollock for these days. Which isn't to say it's great, it is, however, good enough.
