It’s a fact that the first minute and a half of Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly songs are pretty dull, all acoustic strumming and crooning, we all know a big trumpet part or drum n bass bit is just around the corner but God do you have to work to get there. Luckily the pure magic of Sam Duckworth makes it all worth while and ‘War Of The Worlds’ is another quality slab of acoustic merriment with pure emotion and a voice to melt even the coldest of hearts. ‘Voice Of A Generation’ would be a ludicrous title to hand Duckworth but he really has unparalleled talent and ‘War Of The Worlds’ caps off a superb year for the young man from Southend.
