Rapper Big Boi has announced he is finally working on a solo album – sparking speculation Outkast could have gone for a burton.
His duo with Andre 3000 has been more noted for their work apart on their last two albums, 'SpeakerBoxxx/The Love Below' and 'Idlewild', which contained only one song featuring the both of them.
Despite Andre declaring at the end of the summer by stating the band were possibly working on a new album with Dr Dre, Big Boi’s move appears to be a strike for freedom – and food related metaphors.
He says of the LP, “You're going to get something from every genre, every funk, beat, loop, horn, whistle. We got it all on the record. I got maybe 35 beats already done for it now so I'm just diving in and trying to carve out the pie with the vocals."
