Not content (like they should be) with one bite of the cherry, 2006 has marked the return for a number of groups from days gone by. Not ones to be left behind, ‘Rock Steady,’ is the first single in 5 years from the more ‘credible’ Spice Girls alternative, All Saints. With the bitching and backstabbing behind them (for the time being), Rock Steady shows that, vocally, they haven’t lost the sultry pop prowess that sold 10 million albums worldwide. What is missing though is originality. Although, this time around they’ve thrown in some ‘cool’ reggae hooks over an up-tempo break beat drum line, Rock Steady is another single that fails to pull pop out of the 20th century.
