The newly reformed Culture Club, without Boy George, have cancelled their forthcoming UK tour.
In a statement the band blamed the postponement of the dates on a “heavy recording schedule” which includes ten new songs.
They will now tour in conjunction with the release of their new single which is due in 2007.
The band added: “We want to start our tour with the release of a hit comparable to our world wide hits Karma Chameleon and Do You Really Want To Hurt Me”.
“Culture Club sold over 45 million albums, the high standard has been set for our new material, so it is taking longer than we planned, but we feel it’s the right decision.”
No doubt Boy George will be over the moon about the news.
