Eerie Indiana four-piece Murder By Death once released an album entitled ‘Like The Exorcist But More Break Dancing’, which is of course the first reason to embrace them and their devilish rock and roll. Another is ‘Boy Decide’, their debut UK single and whiskey-laced taster of next Spring’s ‘In Bocca Al Lupo’ LP. Marrying an almost grunge aesthetic with lush, doom-laden orchestration, Murder By Death recall the likes of Two Gallants and (common reference this) Nick Cave without managing to sound like anything but the chilling, brooding Bluegrass harbingers of mortality that they are.
