Conor Oberst has revealed that the new Bright Eyes album is set to be dominated by apocalyptic themes.
The long player is due in the first half of 2007 with tracks touted for the listing including ‘Cartoon Blues’, ‘Classic Cars’ and ‘Lime Tree’.
Oberst told Spin: "There's a feeling in the world right now like everything is unravelling, but maybe that's not a bad thing. I'm not convinced that the human race is good for this planet anyway."
He added: "The new songs are mostly stream of consciousness. Telepathy is a big theme. If you just concentrate, you'll know what I'm talking about."
