The Flaming Lips were welcomed back to the UK’s shores with a pair of light fingers at the weekend.
The band were robbed as they prepared to go on stage for the first show of their current tour in Brighton on November 4.
Stolen from the dressing room was Wayne Coyne’s laptop plus his wife’s digital camera.
According to the NME Coyne spent much of the ensuing show pleading to the audience for information about the incident.
He described the culprit, who was caught on the venue’s CCTV network, as "of regular build, about 5ft 11" and "wearing a light blue hooded athletic top with a white stripe".
He added that the man looked “a bit like a whippet”.
