Bob Marley has been honoured by a plaque at his former home in London.
The special tribute was unveiled yesterday at the reggae legend’s abode at 34 Ridgemount Gardens, Camden where he lived in 1972.
The event was endorsed by the Mayor of London and was part of the Black History Month incentive.
Marley’s widow Rita told the BBC: “"My husband's music is loved all around the world, although he had a special affinity with London.
"The family is pleased that he is being honoured with a commemorative plaque in London and we truly look forward to seeing it the next time we are in London. Jah bless you all. One love."
Mayor Ken Livingstone commented: “Like many people, I have appreciated and admired the work of Bob Marley for decades.
"He was quite simply a musical genius, and he remains a much loved international, iconic reggae artist.”
Marley died from a rare form of cancer in 1981 aged just 36.
