




Easily one of the biggest anthems on the more commercially orientated dance floors in Ibiza over the summer, thanks to some hardcore radio plugging Fedde Le Grand’s omnipotent ‘Put Your Hands Up For Detroit’ is well and truly crossing into the mainstream consciousness. Like most such tracks, what at first is a beguiling number with its infectious simple bass groove and calls to arms vocals, soon due to being criminally overplayed, after umpteen listens it sounds trite and, well, boring. Luckily, there are some top-notch remixes on the package to bolster it – most notably the tough TV Rock interpretation and man-of-the-moment Claude Von Stroke’s acid-fried minimal reworking.
