Isobel Campbell has revealed she has made peace with her ex-lover and Belle And Sebastian bandmate Stuart Murdoch.
The singer, who is currently promoting new album 'Milkwhite Sheets’, left the group in 2002 after the breakdown of her relationship with Murdoch.
Murdoch responded by penning an acerbic chronicle of their relationship, ‘I’m Waking Up To Us’, which included the line, "I think you never liked me anyway/You like yourself and you like men to kiss your arse".
However, whilst Campbell admits the song upset her mother, she now harbours no ill will to her ex-boyfriend.
She tells The Scotsman, “My mum heard it and she was a wee bit sad for me. I tried to tell her about poetic licence. Things are fine now, though I haven't bumped into him for ages.”
