Johnny Borrell has denied Razorlight are splitting after he played a solo gig on Thursday night.
The outspoken singer performed with only a Gospel Choir for company at the BlackBerry Pearl launch party at London’s Conrad Hotel, but denied the gig had created any tension with the band.
He told The Sun, “There is no way we are splitting up. I did America solo last week at the Vodaphone awards.
“They’re fine with me to be doing this but it’s a bit weird singing with a gospel choir and not seeing your band when you turn around on stage.”
The £90,000 cheque he picked up for the show probably softened the blow somewhat.
