Motor mouth Noel Gallagher has launched a tirade of abuse at the Australian national football team.
He is quoted as saying "Stick to the Aussie rules and the tennis and the cricket and the rugby- you are good at that. Football is the game of the intelligentsia and you are shit at it. You will never win anything so give it up.”
Blunt and eloquent as ever Noel went on to single out Everton’s midfield dynamo Tim Cahill for particular abuse, telling AAP: “I would love to kick him right in the bollocks
“He has just got one of those faces. Don't you find his face really slappable? I can assure you, lots of people in England do.”
As if that wasn’t enough jingoism for one day Gallagher went on to attack the teams’ nickname as well- “What do they call them, the Socceroos? Do me a ****ing favour, you could come up with a better nickname than that.”
Oasis’s greatest hits album ‘Stop The Clocks’ is released on November 20 - expect many more Gallagher outbursts in the coming month.
