Peter Gabriel has revealed that he will be not joining Genesis for their reunion tour.
The 56-year-old was the frontman and founding member of the supergroup, producing some of their most acclaimed works.
He left the group in 1975 to pursue a solo career, making way for drummer Phil Collins to take over on vocal duties.
In an interview with the BBC, he explained: “There were conversations and I decided not to be a part of it. I’m very happy for them.
"It's not that I've ruled it out, but I've got some new material that I'll be working on."
Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks are all set to take part in the lucrative tour. They have a view to write some new material.
