American Rapper Shot In New York

American rapper Fabolous has been shot outside a restaurant in New York.

The 28-year-old, who has worked with the likes of Ja Rule and The Neptunes, was waiting for his entourage when a man approached and shot him in the thigh.

Fabolous – real name John Jackson - and three other men fled the scene, but were stopped by police after they went through a red light.

Officers arrested them after they discovered two loaded guns in the vehicle. However, no charges were pressed against them. 

Fabolous is currently recovering in hospital where he is in a stable condition.

Police are looking for one man in connection with the incident.
