Arctic Monkeys Lead Q Awards Nominations

The Arctic Monkeys lead the way in the nominations for this year’s Q Awards having been short listed for four awards.

The quartet are in the running for Best Album, Best Live Act, Best Track and also Best New Act alongside Lily Allen.

Muse are their closest rivals in the nominations stakes with three which will see the two bands fight it out for Best Album.

Elsewhere the nominees for Best Act in the World Today are Muse, Coldpay, Oasis, U2 and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The winners will bwe announced at a London ceremony on October 30.
