Jamie Lidell co-producer Mocky brings a slice from his 'Navy Brown Blues' album with 'Extended Reservations'. Original version has the 80's kitsch disco-pop appeal for the perma-tan, jet-set brigade to soundtrack their 'Club Tropicalia' sloth with a bass that reminds of Level 42 and a radio-friendly pina colada mix. Eric D. Clark strips the bass back and brings knob-twiddling and programming for a pool-side wiggle - "...say goodbye to civilisation...". Radio Slave takes the 4-square to more threatening corners with a tasty, dark and long piece of minimal house - "...let's forget all about the whining..." and klaxon horn blasts; and Rekid (aka Radio Slave) with a doped dub-step, bpm brakes on and a catatonic song with gaseous emissions. One for the smug-lounge.
