Former Suede frontman Brett Anderson has finally found a home for his debut solo album, which will be released early next year.
The singer-songwriter's eponymous LP – which he’s described as having a “Scott Walker” feel – has been knocking about for a while, but Anderson has now confirmed the album has been mixed and mastered and will come out on Drowned In Sound records.
He writes on his website, “The album is mixed (by the lovely Steve Fitzmaurice), mastered (by the superlative Bunt Stafford Clarke) and ready to penetrate your eardrums. I've lived with the songs for so long and i still love them. I suppose that means something.
“The record will be released early next year on Drowned in Sound records in the UK and a major who I have worked with before (sorry can't be specific cos we are still dealing lawyers) in the rest of the world.”
