Maximo Park have revealed that they have twenty new songs recorded for their new album.
Frontman Paul Smith says they plan to cut the twenty tracks down to thirteen for the as yet untitled album recorded in Newcastle.
The album is being produced by the esteemed Gil Norton, who’s previously worked with the Pixies amongst many others.
New songs touted to be on the follow up to ‘A Certain Trigger’ include ‘Nosebleed’ and ‘Girls Who Play Guitar.’
Describing the new songs Smith told Billboard they are “Much bigger” whilst going on to say: "We kind of realised they were a bit different to the songs on 'A Certain Trigger'.
"That album had this concise, emotional pop and these two songs seemed to take it to another level."
