Punk rock legend The Ramones are to be made the subject of a film, based on a book co-written by Joey Ramone's brother.
The biographical book ‘I Slept With Joey Ramone’ is currently being written by Mickey Leigh and seminal punk journo Legs McNeil is being adapted for the silverscreen by producer Rory Rosegarten.
Film industry newspaper Variety has reported that Rosegarten has formed an agreement with Joey Ramone's mother Charlotte Lesher allowing him to use the Ramones music on the film.
The Ramones formed the background on Legs McNeil and Gillian McCain’s book about the origins of punk ‘Please Kill Me’ and 2003 documentary ‘End of The Century’.
