U2 Leave Island After 27 Years

Irish supergroup U2 are leaving Island after a 27 relationship with the record label.

The band will now put out their potentially massive selling Greatest Hits Collection on Mercury next month instead.

No comment has been made by either party, but, according to the BBC, it is thought U2 want to follow Jason Iley, after he and his A&R team moved from Island to Mercury earlier this year.
