Rilo Kiley have revealed that they have 20 songs recorded for their next album.
The tracks are yet to be mixed, but frontwoman Jenny Lewis hints that the follow-up to 2004’s acclaimed ‘More Adventurous’ will see the light of day soon.
Speaking about returning to the band after her solo outing with The Watson Twins on ‘Rabbit Fur’ coat, she said: "I wanted to write songs that rocked a little bit more and kind of had a more band feel to them. I was kind of longing for a more complicated approach, I guess."
The band have been working on the long-player at the legendary Sunset Sound studios in Los Angeles.
Lewis added: “[It was] the first time we’ve worked in a legitimate studio. It was a bit scary at first - The Rolling Stones recorded there, and Sheryl Crow. It was unusual for us, but we ended up feeling comfortable there."
