Beck’s new album ‘The Information’ has been disqualified from the UK charts because of the deluxe packaging it comes in.
His new record for Interscope comes complete with a sticker sheet handpicked by Beck himself, which fans can use to design their own album cover.
But the Official Chart Company (OCC) have ruled that such extras give the album an unfair advantage over competitors in the chart.
Beck told Billboard: "It's an unconventional package, but it shouldn't be penalized for that.
"Any art on a CD is an incentive to buy and listen. Ultimately, it doesn't matter. The response from the fans has been so strong, and that is the most important thing."
It’s unlikely that the album will be deinied chart eligibility Stateside.
