If you’ve followed in your father’s footsteps in your career, stop for a moment, smell the roses and give a thought to Sean Lennon, because he has got some family business to inherit! However, as ‘Dead Meat,’ the first single from his second album, ‘Friendly Fire’ shows, no one seems to have reminded him of that. The songs quaint and dreamy composition of piano and strings, juxtaposes with lyrics that see Lennon warn, “In the end you’re gonna learn/All you get is what you deserve.” A magical caution to us all, and although not the original Lennon, still one well deserving of our attention.
