Judging by the poor offering 'America', Razorlight obviously wore themselves out and used up everything they had with their debut album. The indie darlings of 2004 are desperately trying to go somewhere with this song, it starts well with an intro that is gentle and dreamy, but it doesn't build up to anything worth bothering with. There's no hook and the chorus is as dreary as the verses are. They're trying to be anthemic and epic but the most it builds up to is a few trademark Borrell 'Oh oh oh's' for the chorus. The opening line says it all really "What a drag it is, the shape I'm in..." How ironic.
