Hope Of The States will begin work on “heavier” follow-up to ‘The Lost Riots’ tomorrow (July 2).
The Chichester based band are entering the studio to record two b-sides to back forthcoming single ‘Nehemiah’, released on August 16, but will also demo songs for their second album.
"We’re also demoing five or six songs for the next record. They might be complete trash but they’re sounding quite good at the moment," explained vocalist Sam Herlihy.
"Some of them are sounding a lot heavier than the older stuff," said Herlihy to NME. "I’m going to start playing more electric guitar because I miss playing electric guitar so they might move in that direction. But they’re all about Russia and alcoholics in London."
The band will be making summer appearances in the UK at the Dublin Oxegen festival (July 10), T In the Park (11), V Festival (August 21, 22).
