Echo And The Bunnymen front man Ian McCulloch has been cleared of assaulting a fan backstage at Glasgow’s Barrowlands.
However, he was convicted of a breach of the peace over the incident which took place after a Bunnymen gig in October last year.
McCulloch was accused of assaulting Juliet Selbey, 34, after loosing his temper when he found two fans in his private backstage toilet.
He is reported to have sworn at and threatened the pair, Selbey and her boyfriend Gary Duncan, 39, for which he was convicted of the breach of the peace.
The unproven assault charges relate to the accusation that McCulloch followed the threats by kicking the cubicle door open which hit Selbey on the head and repeatedly pushing Duncan.
McCulloch argued in his defence that he had actually politely asked the pair to leave the cubicle, he admitted pushing the door open but denied pushing Duncan.
