‘Cowbell’ is a bit of a nightmare to describe. It’s an organised chaos, much more than the sum of it’s repetitive almost dirge like parts. It really grows on you, managing to sound better with each fresh listen. Certainly it’s very cool and quirky, not least when singer Josh Grier repeats "So sure/ so sure..” over and over in a demented fashion, to the backdrop of a rumbling bass. Earlier he sings’“I’ve been a better lover with your Mother” so let's hope he never meets Zinedene Zidane. This comes with an extra couple of tracks and a ‘Cowbell’ remix and the whole package is intriguing enough to justify the hype starting to form around the band.
