Hope of the States Frontman Explains Split

Hope of the States frontman Sam Herlihy has revealed that they decided to split when they stopped ‘believing’ in the band.

The singer says that having a melting pot of different people in the band had helped get them to where they were and they were united by their strong beliefs.

Eventually, Sam says that their different characters was the downfall of the band. He told BBC6music:  “I think all bands, you can have friction and you can fight and we're definitely a very, very different bunch of people, we always have been.

“But that's one of the best things, that's why the songs sound like they do, that's why the show are like they are. But we all believed in the band until the point that we decided well, let's stop.”

Herlihy also hinted that band members may consider working together in the future again. He added: "Yeah maybe, definitely. I don't think any of us of would write of any of that at all.

“But as I said I don't really know what's going on at the moment, but we've left it as friends so that's nice."
