Arctic Monkeys album sales have rocketed since they scooped the Mercury Music Prize on Tuesday.
HMV have reported that sales have gone up a staggering 98% after they took the coveted gong, while distributors are quoting massive orders.
Despite giving away their £20,000 prize money to charity, the Sheffield band are still benefiting financially through the win.
The sales boom echoes that of when ‘Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not’ was first released in January. It became the fastest selling debut album in chart history.
