The Libertines will be releasing their eponymous second album on 30th August through Rough Trade Records. This will be preceded by the single 'Can't Stand Me Now' on 9th August.
The album was produced by Former Clash guitarist Mick Jones and engineered by Bill Price. The new album has been eagerly anticipated, largely thanks to the trivial antics of Pete Doherty.
The tracklist for the album will include:
1. Can’t Stand Me Now
2. Last Post On The Bugle
3. Don’t Be Shy
4. The Man Who Would Be King
5. Music When The Lights Go Out
6. Narcissist
7. The Ha Ha Wall
8. Arbeit Macht Frei
9. Campaign Of Hate
10. What Katie Did
11. Tomblands
12. The Saga
13. Road To Ruin
14. What Became Of The Likely Lads
The band will be performing at various festivals during the summer including T In The Park in Glasgow on 10th July, Oxygen Festival in Dublin on 11th July and the Reading and Leeds Festivals on 28th and 29 August respectively.
As already reported The Libertines had to pull out of Glastonbury because of Pete Doherty's problems. Supergrass will be playing at the festival instead.
The Libertines debut album 'Up The Bracket' was released in October 2002.
