Carl Barat and Pete Doherty have united on an upcoming track.
The former Libertines lynchpins both appear on a cover version of The Clash classic ‘Janie Jones’.
However, the pair never set foot in a studio together - instead they recorded their parts separately after they were individually asked to contribute.
The song was devised by Strummerville, a music charity set up to honour the late-great Clash frontman Joe Strummer.
Barat told the NME: “Am I recording for Strummerville? Yeah, I’ve done that already.
“This fella just came round with his computer and said ‘sing into this’ and then he was gone.
“Pete’s on it, The Paddingtons are on it. Loads of bands are on it.”
