The New York Dolls suffered at the hands of thieves at their first reunion performance.
The Punk legends reformed to perform at the Morrissey Meltdown Festival in support of their friend who is curating the festival. Their first performance together since the 1970’s was tainted by the theft of one of their lyric books.
The book was said to have "huge sentimental value" to the band, it is believed to have been taken from the stage after their performance.
The Doll’s have asked that the book be returned to the Royal Festival Hall, London and no further questions will be asked.
The band continue their comeback at the Manchester Move Festival which takes place July 8-11 and will be supporting The White Stripes at Belfast Botanic Gardens on August 25.
The Meltdown festival will continue until the end of the month.
