Hip Hop superstar Busta Rhymes was arrested and charged with assault in New York at the weekend.
According to reports from the rapper was involved in a incident with a concertgoer who reportedly spat on his car at the Amsterjam Festival on August 12.
Rhymes was performing at the event, and after being tipped off that the police were looking for him, tried to flea the scene at the close of his set.
He was finally arrested at 8pm on Saturday night before being released several hours later after questioning reports The Daily News.
Rhymes expressed his unhappiness through his lawyer about the arrest.
In a statement Scott Leeman said: "This is payback by the NYPD," referring to Rhymes' refusal to cooperate with the NYPD over the murder of his bodyguard Israel Ramirez earlier this year.
Rhymes is set to appear in court on October 24.
