The Subways have revealed that they’re taking a ‘heavier’ direction on their second album.
Speaking to Gigwise, drummer Josh Morgan hinted that the trio held back on their first album and are now being experimental.
He told us that they’ve already got 20 to 30 songs completed and a whole load more B-sides.
Asked whether they’re changing musical direction, he said: “Yeah we’ve got a metal song now! We’ve gone really heavy, we’ve completely experimented!
“You know with the first album you’ve got to be careful, but we’re just being honest with all our writing and we’ve just matured a lot musically.
“It’s a lot more experimental and nutty! We have got some softer songs, so we’re just mixing them up. We’ve got about 20 – 30 songs to choose from, I mean real songs.
“We’ve written hundreds of b-sides. So that’s all pretty exciting!”
