The Darkness have been forced to cancel their upcoming tour dates as Justin Hawkins battle with his alcohol addiction.
Doctors have recommended that the mock-rocker should “cancel all professional commitments or work-related activities.”
The cancelled shows include their appearance at the Skanderborg Festival in Denmark this weekend.
They said in a statement: “We had little choice but to cancel the band’s appearance at Skanderborg Festival in Denmark, something that the band hate to do.
“But having been out on the road constantly for such a long time and not having any time off in the last three years, that’s what Justin has decided to do and we are all agreed that his health must come first.”
