Taking Back Sunday - ‘Twenty-Twenty Surgery’ (Warner Bros) Released 21/08/06

Whether you like EMO or not, Taking Back Sunday are one of the original purveyors of this soft college rock and are here to make sure you at least give it a go with their latest single ‘Twenty Twenty Surgery’. Unfortunately despite scrapping snarling guitars and audible snatched deep thinking breaths there isn't much here to separate them from all the copycats that have followed. Repetitive and droning it lacks convincing emotion and when given the opportunity doesn't explode where it should but settles for second best.
