YouTube has announced plans to show ever music video ever made on its site.

The owners of the latest internet phenomenon are apparently in talks with several major record label including EMI and Warner to host the promos.

YouTube founder Steve Chen told Reuters: "What we really want to do is in six to 12 months, maybe 18 months, to have every music video ever created up on YouTube.”

“We're trying to bring in as much of this content as we can on to the site."

The latest stats show that YouTube hosts sixty percent of all videos watched on the internet.

    • Can’t see a pay per view policy working on the web - but it will take a long time for you tube to make their money back. I reckon it’ll be paid for by advertising too. How many videos have been made, at a guess there’s 500k-1m?? That’s a boring job for someone to encode all them.
