In a slow moving week in the charts Scottish indie newcomers The View were the most notable of the new entries.
Their track ‘Wasted Little DJs’ went straight in at number 15 while Shakira stayed at number 1 with ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ as the top ten played musical chairs.
Elsewhere Peter Bjorn And John’s superb ‘Young Folks’ entered at number 35 and ‘Dolls’ from Primal Scream at number 40.
In the album charts crooning Blunt-alike James Morrison retained the the top spot with his debut album ‘Undiscovered’ (We wish he still was!).
The highest new entry was Chamillionaire’s ‘The Sound Of Revenge’ which came in at number 33.
