Stephen Malkmus has been remixed by Hot Chip on his next single.
Lifted from his latest album ‘Face The Truth’, the ex-Pavement frontman releases ‘Kindling For Master’ through Domino on August 28.
The 12” is backed by four remixes, with Hot Chip heading the reworkings with a minimal interpretation.
Other artists working their magic into the lead track include Emperor Machine, Palmo Polpo and Major Swellings.
‘Face The Truth’ is Stephen Malkmus’ third solo output, following his 2001 eponymous debut and ‘Pig Lib’ in March 2003.
