Man Charged With Korn Concert Killing

A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of 30-year-old Andrew Richardson at a Korn concert last month.

Michael Scott Axley was arrested by Atlanta police on Monday night (August 7) and was charged with beating to death Richardson on the July 30 date of the band’s Family Values Tour.

A police spokesperson confirmed that 24-year-old Axley was taken in by police after they received tips from witnesses of the incident.

It’s believed that the attack happened when Richardson, who was attending the show with his pregnant wife and child, asked fellow concert goers to refrain from jostling his family.

Richardson was allegedly then punched sending him crashing to the floor where he hit his head on the concrete, causing a fatal brain injury.

The band have offered full support to Richardson’s family, saying in a statement on their website: "All the bands on the Family Values Tour offer their sincerest condolences and prayers to the family of 30-year-old Andy Richardson."
