The Rapture have told Gigwise that Gnarls Barkley’s Danger Mouse has injected something exciting and interesting into their upcoming second album.
As well as Danger Mouse, the New York band drafted in the production heavyweights Paul Epworth and Ewan Pearson to work on ‘Pieces of the People We Love.’
Frontman Luke Jenner said: “Well we knew Paul well before he did anything you would have heard of.
“He was our sound engineer years ago and was waiting at the plane when we first ever came to England… We finished all the songs then sent them out to the producers. Danger Mouse produced two out of the ten tracks.
“When he heard them he just had a really interesting, exciting take that we hadn’t heard in them before.”
‘Pieces of the People We Love’ hits the shelves on September 4 and is preceded by the single ‘Get Myself Into It’ two weeks earlier.
